HAVE HEART / NOT VERSE

Show went waaayyyyyy too late, but actually ran smooth all night.  There was supposed to be a late show as well, but because of Have Heart running late, the late show bands played after the Right Idea / Overload combo set.  Verse dropped because their van broke, Have Heart was late because they tried to help Verse with their van and they were also given my home address in stead of the address for Now That's Class.  Apparently they just wanted to have a movie night.

Decades - They were decent, nothing overly special and their reaction showed that.  They were all real nice guys though that seemed like they were having a blast.  That's good.

Grave Maker - This band is good, Ed probably doesn't approve, but I know Tank Top Guy and I do approve.  Again really nice guys who were very happy to be playing the show.  I hope they trashed Davey's house.

Mad Minds - Multiple people were quoted as saying this was Mad Minds best set to date.  I Agree.  The new songs are good, the covers are good, and kids were definitely into it.

Right Idea - Hess' vocal cords are pissed.  I anticipated a much better reaction for them, but it was still a good short set.  Reaction was on par with previous cleveland shows, but I guess I expected it to be absolutely insane.

Overload - Which Overload you may ask since there are 15 whole pages worth of results when myspace music is searched with that name (including another Overload from Ohio).  They played 3 songs in the middle of Right Idea's set including a Project X cover (you probably don't need to ask what song).  Their reaction was good.  In typical cocky form, members of this band were discussing how their reaction was even better than Right Idea's when we were at My Friends for the post-show meal.  Chuck is pissed.

Attake - Thrash metal.  People who like thrash metal thought they were good.  People who did not like thrash metal thought they were bad.  Carlson and Alex thought their singer was a stone cold fox.

Necrofilth - I'm pretty sure this band has members from Medina.  The infamous Medina metalheads the Horvals.  I didn't watch them but I'm sure someone enjoyed them.

Wasteland - I was surprised with this band the night before the show, they were boring.

Have Heart - Absolutely insane reaction.  Dives off the highest speakers, the entire room singing along and 150+ people all having a blast.  It definitely seemed like it was worth the wait for all of the people who made extremely long drives to the show.  They played a short set since it was late, but I'm not sure how much energy everyone would have had left if they did decide to play more.

My Friends - The post-show meal wasn't as eventful as they normally are since a lot of people decided to just head home since the show ended so late.

It was a good night that was a complete mess but somehow managed to work out just fine.

Big thank yous go out to all of the kids who made long drives.  I know Indiana, Michigan (if you're reading this you better have already watched the Let Down video), Pennsylvania, and West Virginia were in attendance and potentially even more.  There we a lot of new faces.

Also, the new tanks are done.  I will try to get pictures sometime and post them.
